We have eight amazing printers available, each meticulously designed for specific purposes to perfectly accommodate our orders. Our fleet includes seven FDM printers (which utilize plastic filament) and one advanced resin printer; we will delve into the differences in a future blog post.
3D printing is a process that requires a measured approach, and rushing into it is not advisable if you're not fully prepared to invest the necessary time into troubleshooting. Understanding each printer thoroughly is crucial to keep them functioning at their best; they can experience clogs, feeding issues, and require occasional spare parts, as they are fundamentally mechanical machines driven by belts and gears. When they operate correctly, they are truly fascinating to observe, and witnessing the final product on the heat bed is incredibly rewarding.
Every print you undertake requires careful preparation before it's sent to the printer. At the very minimum, most prints require supports to print correctly, and remember, a failed print can occur at any stage, with print times varying from two hours to two days!
So, is it all worth the effort? Absolutely!
While it may not suit everyone, we strongly believe it is worthwhile, as it’s truly amazing to witness a 2D image on the screen evolve into something tangible that you can hold and cherish.
